Over 10,000 downloads of SimpleFAQ
Thanks to you all, SimpleFAQ has now been downloaded over 10,000 times. I know many of you are using the component on live sites thanks to all the mails I have had, and the messages of support and suggestions for ongoing improvements. Its a great motivation for me to continue!

Downloads working again
Apologies but the download system crashed on the 14th October due to an error in a 3rd party component. It is now fixed (16th October). If you have tried to download anything in the past 2 days and received an invalid email address message, please try again and hopefully everything is now working!

SimpleFAQ 2.40 Released
Image The latest patch version has just been released. This addresses some minor issues in some installations with the category listings and also closes a minor security risk against SQL injection. See our Free Products page for downloading.

Basic Mod 1.2 released

basicmod.gifParkview BasicMOD is a new module ideal for use in intra-site navigation. It allows the user to insert a block of text and an image that can emulate a menu entry so, when clicked, will navigate to another part of the site as though the menu had been selected. Furthermore, the module passes its output through the site Mambots, hence allowing the use of advanced content manipulation such as email cloaking, SEF support and much more.

The module makes full use of the new templating engine giving users full control over the look and feel of the module's output. Full details and several examples of the module in use can be seen on our Products page.

This release adds some further comments in the source code and adds a minor improvement to the handling of 'extra' parameters as requested by a couple of users. As always, we are offering this upgrade free to existing users and at a very low price to others.

SimpleFAQ 2.30 Released
Image A patch version has been released which addresses some minor issues in some installations, namely Search in the front end of SimpleFAQ and Delete Comment. These features depended in earlier versions on Register Globals, the new version does not and is hence more secure. See our Free Products page for downloading.

Although the latest release is v2.30, this is the first release patch since v2.13 - the number change is simply due to my source code control system needing to bring some file revisions in line.
